In August, we received Interim Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) (see the article on page 1). We scored extraordinarily well on this first accreditation, which is very rare. We didn’t just hit a home run; we knocked it so far out of the park they can’t even find the ball. NCQA accreditation is a quality seal of approval for health plans and reflects the remarkable work of our team. In all my years in health plan administration, I’ve never seen a more dedicated group of people. Because of our extended partnership with Evolent Health to establish True Health New Mexico on Jan. 1, our members have continued to benefit from our commonsense medical management program. We combine technology with the experience and expertise of our medical management staff to improve your health. We intervene before you become seriously ill and guide you through the maze of healthcare services. If you have asthma or diabetes, we help you manage it so you can live better. Data from the New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Value shows that we lead the pack in reducing emergency room visits and inpatient hospitalizations. This helps lower overall healthcare costs, but more importantly, it keeps you well. Our gift to you this season and every season is to get you the right care at the right time in the right setting—and that will never change. The True Health New Mexico member portal offers you easy, secure access from your computer or mobile device to all the important details of your health plan, such as: • Your ID card. • Your summary of benefits and coverage. • Essential health plan documents. • Claims status. Learn more about the portal and register at truehealthnewmexico.com/my-account-login.aspx . While you’re there, download the mobile app from the links at the bottom of the login screen. The Council will be made up of True Health members and consumers and will meet four times per year. We will share the council’s discussions and recommendations with our senior leadership team and the True Health Board of Directors. Some of the topics council members will discuss may include performance reports on cus- tomer service, the provider network, the member appeals process and what our role should be in the healthcare market. Council members can also tell us how we can make our required health plan documents easier to use and understand. Don’t forget to enroll your newborn baby on your plan Do you have a new addition to the family? Congratulations! We wish your baby the best of health. Please remember that for your newborn to be covered on your True Health New Mexico health plan, you must enroll him or her within 31 days of birth . To add the baby to your plan, speak with your employee benefits administrator. Your employer will send the changes to us on your behalf.
